Sir William Kirkcaldy Captain of the Castle

Sir William Kirkcaldy was governor of Edinburgh Castle during the reign of Mary Queen of Scots. He held the Castle against her opponents from 1571 to 1573 in what we call the 'Lang Siege'. Find out why.

A Great Escape

The Black Dinner
