Hear the truly shocking story of the trial and execution of the young Douglas lairds in Edinburgh Castle in 1440.

The Lang Siege

Meet Sir William Kilcaldy of Grange and hear the tale of his unsuccessful attempt to hold the castle for Mary Queen of Scots.

The Great Escape
Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th MarchEdinburgh Castle makes a very secure prison, steep rock sides and well guarded gates make escape extremely risky. But a few souls have succeeded. Hear the story of one such escapee, James Mhor Macgregor.
