Buy tickets for Edinburgh Castle
We're experiencing occasional difficulties with card payments at the castle ticket office which may cause delays. We're looking into it and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Cash can be paid on arrival (withdrawal facilities are available) or tickets can be booked online.

Last admission is 1 hour before closing.
Please be aware prices are subject to change and may also vary for special events.
* Proof of eligibility is required. Benefits include, Jobseeker's Allowance (applies to UK residents only and an ES40 form is required); ESA (formerly the Incapacity Benefit); and Universal Credit. Students do not qualify as concessions.
If buying online, the above tickets are fast track at no extra cost and means you don't have to queue at the ticket office. Choose from immediate Print At Home ticketing or Ticket Machine Pick Up. Help on how to book online is available here.
A fast track admission ticket includes entrance to all attractions within Edinburgh Castle and, when available, a complimentary guided tour.
If buying on the day from our ticket office, last tickets are sold 1 hour before closing. The ticket office is located inside Edinburgh Castle. When you arrive at the castle from the Royal Mile, walk over the drawbridge and the ticketing area is on your right.
