Concerts at the Castle
Each summer, Edinburgh Castle’s Esplanade is transformed into a unique concert venue. Artists who have used the stunning backdrop of the castle include, Rod Stewart, Lionel Richie, Runrig, Simply Red, Tom Jones, Paul Weller, Jessie J, Arcade Fire, Westlife, Olly Murs, The Proclaimers, Bryan Ferry and Boyzone.
Deacon Blue - Saturday 22 July 2017
Deacon Blue will perform at Edinburgh Castle on 22 July. The band's debut album Raintown, celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2017.

The onsite box office is at The Hub, Castlehill, Edinburgh, EH1 2NG and is open on event days from 4pm.

Edinburgh Castle Esplanade is an outdoor venue, so please come appropriately dressed in warm, waterproof clothing (as required) and sturdy footwear for the steep entrance and tiered seating.
Concerts go ahead in poor weather unless it is unsafe.
Seating high in the grandstands is not recommended for people with vertigo, breathing difficulties or heart complaints.
